What's for DINNER

I like to think of myself as a modern day Martha Stewart - in reality I'm just some one who likes pretty looking food and to host parties! Labelled a bit of a "health freak" I like to know exactly what's in my food and love anything which looks simple, fresh and exotic.

I've collected here a selection of our favourite dinners, snacks and treats! Just follow the links for a more in depth guide.

Look what I found...
Whilst munching on a punnet of strawberries I found a little treasure - what I like to call "strawberry twins"! One stalk yet two strawberries!
Barcelona Boqueria...
When I visited Barcelona (May 2013) one of the must go places has to be the "Boqueria" food market just off La Rambla. An indoor food market decked out with all the finest ingredients anyone needs to either cook an exquisite meal or simply just to snack on. Here you could purchase anything from a watermelon to an emu egg!
The fresh fruit is a must have to try and for anyone feeling a little more adventurous and strong in the stomach (excuse the pun) you can even purchase whichever one of the 4 cows stomachs your tickles your taste buds the best! Full of energy and colour the only thing this market did miss was the Sony NEX-6 (Andrew didn't trust me alone in Barcelona with it!) - so well done trust Apple iPhone 4 you've done me well!
Iceland's Finest...

On our recent trip to Iceland (the country not shop -Jan 2013) we dined at some of the best restaurants I've ever been to. On our first night there we visited a place called "The Grillmarket" - full of fresh produce, flavour and colour this has to be by far my favourite restaurant in the WORLD ... to date.  A bit of a gin fanatic I also had a "Basil Hendricks" cocktail which is definitely going on as my signature cocktail for the wedding!

Peanut steak (far), sweet potato fries and "the fish gourmet"  (Salmon, Monkfish and Cod)
Enjoying this restaurant so much we went for our engagement meal at it's sister restaurant "The Fishmarket" - which held up to expectations and delivered us yet another amazing menu.
