Disneyland Paris Inaugral Half

22nd - 26th September 2016
Woowzers - It's been a long time since I last blogged! So I thought I'd make a comeback with a bang! We've had the best weekend. Filled to the brim with life sized mice, princesses, croissants and a lot of sweat!
Who knew jumping was so hard!
So having arrived at Disneyland Paris on the Friday we managed to sneak in some magical hours; exploring tree-houses, kissing pumpkin people and of course trying on Disney hats! :D
.. so tempting to try and climb this! I did refrain however from fear of being chased by a giant on the way down :P

Race number 1 was the Disneyland Paris Inaugural 5km run/ stroll around the park taking pictures with the characters along the way!
With a 7am (6am UK time) start it felt a little bit like a night run to start but watching the sun come up over the castle was so worth the 5am wakeup call! (Apologies for the poor photo quality from here on in the blog - my memory card was full and so was relying on a trusty old camera phone!)
All dressed up and ready to go! (L>R) ... Lion king inspired outfit, Snow, Donald and Minnie :)

Mr Gorilla feet taking a rest mid run
Getting a picture without photo-bombers was near on impossible!
Love this cheeky chap!
A disney medal to match my Disney inspired manicure :)
My parents were really hoping to join us but unfortunately couldn't so we disguised AP as my mum (I think he should've had a closer shave!)
That summed up day 1 - it was followed by a visit to the Walt Disney Studio's  but unfortunately my memory card was full!

Race 2 again a 5am wakeup followed by a 7am (although with the 15,000 runners that were taking part our corral didn't actually start till 7:50am! The atmosphere was out of this world, the costumes were amazing and so our half marathon began!
Huey, Duey and Luey all ready for the Half!

 Go Jess Go!
Jess ran her first Half Marathon to raise money for the MS Society - click the link to sponsor her!
Turns out after taking part in a runDisney event you start to grow your very own Micky ears!
Well all I can say is what a FABULOUS weekend! Ready to book for next year :D

For anyone interested me and Emily completed our half marathon in our target time of two hours (including a sick Emily along the way) we were doing it to raise money for the White Cross Fund (click the link to find out more or to sponsor us :) )
Follow AP's Vlogs to see more from the weekend :)
